BOOK COVER DESIGN
Goals:
-
Redesign the front, back, and interior pages of an existing text dominant book. The text you use in your design must be actual text from the book you’re redesigning – no paragraphs of the same text repeated over and over. The idea is to work with book design in as realistic a setting as possible, which means using the actual text.

Decision Making:
-
Picking a book was the easiest part. I redesigned Sarah J. Maas' book A Court of Thorns and Roses. It is incredibly similar to the tale of Beauty and the Beast with a few magical twists and a lot of dark turns.

With the fairytale background of the book, I decided to focus on a more simple vector design. I wanted to give off the feeling of a darker tale that relates more to the old Grimm fairy tales.
